Screening Made Simple
Imagine a day when screening for colorectal cancer is as simple as a blood test.
Join the ECLIPSE research study to bring that day forward.
1
Overview
What is ECLIPSE?
ECLIPSE is a colorectal cancer screening study to learn if early signs of colorectal cancer can be detected by a simple blood test.
ECLIPSE, one of the largest cancer screening studies of its kind, will enroll 10,000 people between the ages of 45-84 from across the United States.

Screening Saves Lives
Getting screened is the single best way to prevent colorectal cancer or catch it early, when it can be cured. The American Cancer Society recommends that average-risk adults begin colorectal cancer screening at age 45.
Yet 1 in 3 people in the U.S. are not getting screening with today’s options, which most commonly include colonoscopy and stool-based testing.
A simple blood test like the one being studied in the ECLIPSE study could boost screening rates and help save lives by making screening as simple as a blood draw.

Participate
What can I expect if I join the ECLIPSE study?
Once you’ve qualified and consented to join ECLIPSE, we’ve made taking part in the study as easy as 1-2-3.
Step 1
Tell us about yourself
You’ll complete a brief survey about your health and lifestyle.
Step 2
Give a blood sample
You’ll have a sample of your blood drawn at your doctor’s office. In certain areas, you’ll be able to request a blood draw in your workplace or your home.
Step 3
Have a screening colonoscopy
You’ll have a screening colonoscopy, as recommended by your doctor.
Participation in ECLIPSE does not involve taking any medication or receiving treatment.

About
Guardant Health
The ECLIPSE study is sponsored by Guardant Health, a leader in blood-based testing technologies for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Pioneering Approach
Our team of visionary scientists and industry pioneers was the first to develop the technology to map the genomic makeup of cancer through a simple blood draw.
Our proprietary blood tests are being used by thousands of oncologists nationwide to identify treatment options that give patients the best chance at beating cancer.
Now, we are using our advanced technology to screen for cancer early, which is being tested right now in the ECLIPSE study.
Trusted Technology
Many cancers, including colorectal cancer, shed trace amounts of DNA into the bloodstream, called circulating tumor DNA or ctDNA.
ctDNA can be found in the bloodstream of people with cancer—even at the earliest stages, before symptoms begin.
Guardant Health technology is designed to find and interpret ctDNA in the blood, with the goal of being able to reliably and precisely detect cancer.
